Greetings from New Hampshire July 3, 2009

Hubby and I are here for a wedding!  We are having a great time catching up with some old friends! 

I know I’ve been MIA the past week – it’s been a bit crazy.  We hosted family last weekend for a combined bday party for all 3 girls.  Yes, I have lots of pics to share…just need the time to throw them together in a post.  Also, if you haven’t already checked it out…Bean Talk has lots of CHA-Summer Sneak Peeks going up this month and a chance to win new product!!!

Little Black Dress Friday – week 8 June 28, 2009

 

Little late on this one…the week was good.  I didn’t lose but maintained and considering the amount of stress on my plate right now…that was pretty good.  This coming Saturday is the wedding where I will wear my “little black dress” so we’ll see how this week goes.  Anyone got any ideas for losing 15lbs in 1 week?  Ha!

Happy Birthday Leah! June 24, 2009

My baby (well my oldest baby) turned 6 today!  For some reason 6 seems alot harder than 5 for Mum.  I think it’s the whole “1st grade” thing.  <boo, hoo, hoo>

Some day Leah will learn about how she came into this world…7 weeks early, breathing on her own but having a little difficulty with eating, 4lbs – 13oz…lots of  people praying for her safe arrival.  All too fresh in my mind…such a blessing.

Happy Birthday baby girl!  We love you bunches and bunches!

I have had a large number of visitor recently and wondered why so I traced back some incoming links.  It turns out Scrapbook Update has posted a link to my “Fun Bits for the Week” post that includes a sneak peek of the Lentil line.  The funny thing is the first “Fun Bit” talks about Kami’s poo.  I can only imagine what people are thinking….

Happy Father’s Day to my Dad, Don, Earl and of course hubby!  Hope you all had a great day! 

This is a layout I did quite some time ago of hubby.  He truly is our rock around here!  My peeps are so lucky to have him… Me too!

I tried entering this puppy as one of my layouts for the “Scrapbooker of the Year” CK contest in ‘07.   I still love the title and journaling…that took some time to get just right.  I think most of the supplies are Scenic Route.

Flip Ultra June 21, 2009

 

Bought one of these cute little things with the recommendation from my friend Holly.  Our other video camera is a bit antiquated (from 2000) and 10 times the size of this little thing.  Anyhow, it’s very easy to use and the quality is great.  It’s so easy that my girls are obsessed with it.  They love it!  It’s quite funny to see the world through a 6 or 3 yr old!  This weekend Kami was filming and suddenly decided it would be great to get a video of Lily’s (dog) butt!  She thought it would be funny to film a close-up!  Not sharing that here!

Little Black Dress Friday – week 7 June 20, 2009

 

Is it really week 7?  As in almost 2 months?  Oh well, not going to let that bother me.  Slow starting…

This week has been really good!   I hit the 10lb mark…woo hoo!  Took me a little too long, but I’ve finally changed some seriously bad habits.  Only 1 Tim Horton’s bagel this week…surprised they’re not calling me asking where I’ve been.   I started writing everything down and counting, counting, counting!  I did not officially sign up for Weight Watchers but I’m using their program and have in the past.  It seems to be best for my body. 

Yippee – good week this week.  Actually getting my office space organized…soooooo happy about this!  Scrappin’ space too!

Hope everyone is having a good week!  Kathy – you’ve got to be getting close to 25 or 30lbs? 

A card here, a card there… June 16, 2009

A couple of cards to share…

“Hi” card using Core’dinations cardstock.  The circles were traced from my CM circle cutters and handcut for “imperfect” circles.   The edges were then rounded to give them some texture.  Love the flower and the layered cardstock (if I do say so myself )

“Happy Birthday” card using Bo Bunny papers and Core’dinations cardstock.  OK, so no Jillibean on this one. ;-(  I loved the bright colors of the Bo Bunny paper!  Simple, simple card using the papers and my Cuddlebug to emboss the Core’dinations (which I’m becoming more and more addicted to).  The tag was cut first, them embossed, then attached upside down with a brad.
