Weekend projects… March 11, 2010
I’m headed the Louisville CKC this weekend. Short trip, I’ll only be there for a few classes on Saturday and to walk around.
In the meantime if you’re scrappin’, here’s a couple of layouts to share. I know atleast one of them went up on the Bean Talk blog but not sure about the others.
I know this one went up on Bean Talk last week. It’s one of my favorites. I love that shot of Kami (Holly took it) grabbing my finger. I was crunched for time to get a project to Core’dinations for the packaging/catalog. Because I was crunched and I only had one sheet of each color I was really nervous to put something together. I didn’t know where to start. I’m pleased with the results and love that I was able to incorporate the canvas flowers, cool beans buttons and green corrugated alphas.

Set of Cards to Share March 4, 2010
When I sit down to create cards…let me rephrase that…when I sit down to work on a layout and end up doing a card because I get frustrated with layouts, I usually end up making all different sorts of cards. This time, I decided to make a set using some alphas, the same size cardstock, same bird punch from Stampin’ Up (thanks Sandy for letting me borrow it), and of course some string. Simple, but cute….
Oh, I should mention. The Speckled Brown Egg Alphabeans have white polka dots in them. To make the alphas blend a little more with the Old World Cabbage Soup papers, I inked them to give them a vintage look.

The Tooth Saga… March 3, 2010
Last week we had some drama around the house and you all know how I love drama (I’m guessing with 3 girls it’s only going to get worse). Anyhow, Miss Leah had a dangling tooth as see below…
Anything that has to do with teeth gives Mom the shivers. Leah would not let anyone touch her tooth except for her first grade teacher. It was dangling like that for 2 days.
I was thrilled when she came home from school with this smile…
The tooth fairy was really good to her! She knew she was having a rough week. 😉

Thursday Ramblings February 25, 2010
I spend Thursdays with my two youngest…Brooke and Kami (or Kams – as we like to call her). It seems like they’re always doing something funny or saying something that only a 2 or 3 yr old would say. One Thursday, I told Kami that we were going to run some errands. Her response to that was do we have to run fast?
Thank goodness we don’t have to run fast while running errands or I’d never get anything done! Ha!

“You just seem to vanish for a while”… February 23, 2010
this being said by my friend Holly. Yes, it seems that way to me too! The CHA shows are great for business but they are a ton of work and when you don’t have a huge team to do everything…guess who does it? Yep, that’s me! So, when I feel the need to keep some balance between work and family…everything else (and I mean everything) goes by the wayside. Soon, I’ll be up for air, blogging again, facebooking again…finding those little funny anecdotes.
