Here are the cards we made for the B&B make n’ takes on Saturday.

Sorry the photos are not too hot – too much light.  You get the idea, though.  Option one was this versatile foldover card using “Half & Half” paper from the Cream of Mush collection.  I used the 3″ punch from EK Success for the red scallop on the front (you will see one of these in a giveaway soon).  With the exception of the Bazzill cardstock and the Paper Company bling, all products are from JB Soup.

The other option was a “Happy Thanksgiving” card using “Acorn Squash”.  The ribbon, bean seeds (felt flowers) are also from JB Soup.  The stamp is from Hero Arts.

Everyone also had the opportunity to make a mini-card (gift tag).  We made the “For You” mini card with the butterfly from “Fresh Raspberries”.

Thank you everyone who came out on Saturday (skipped the game :-)) and joined Karen and I!

Here’s a very cool “Fall” layout from Emily (Emily works at Scrapbook Groupies in Gahanna and is the sweetest!).  She used the Cream of Mush collection to create that very cool tree.  Love the 3-D leaves too!  Thanks Emily!

Here’s another cute fall page from Kathy.  Kathy used the Spicy Pumpkin collection as well as some JB Soup Bean Seeds (felt pieces).  The girls in the pic are my 2 sweet nieces.  Thanks Kathy!

Suzie created a cute baseball page using the Cold Raspberry line.  The circles work great with the baseball theme.  Thanks Suzie!

A “Pumpkin Patch” layout from Jamie.  She used the white Cream of Mush line.  Look at that adorable owl!  She cut him out by hand – cute, cute!!  Thanks Jamie!

More to share soon!

Thanks ladies!  It’s exciting for me to see my paper in action!

Gift Cards November 9, 2008

I recently attended a Stampin’ Up party at my friend Heather’s house.  Her friend Andrea started selling it this year and had lots of great ideas to share.  We had fun making some cute cards and goodies.  I also bought way-too-much-stuff!!  I will share that I will be giving away one of the goodies I bought soon!

I thought I would share a couple of mini cards that we made.

Simple, but cute.  These really focus on the stamp.  We had fun with chalks and glitter!

I decided to make some mini cards or gift cards with some Jillibean Soup products.  Most of these I will use with gift bags, presents, short-notice gift or with a gift card.  I always need cards around and these are perfect.

These are on display at B&B Scrapbooks in Powell.  You can visit the store to see them in person.  Pick up some JB Soup goodies while you’re there. 🙂

For most of the cards I printed “sayings” instead of stamping.  This is an inexpensive way to get the “stamped” look without having to invest in a bunch of stamps.  There are several sites that I like to download fonts from…

http://www.1001freefonts.com/  (free)

http://www.abstractfonts.com/fontlist/p  (free – I use Pea Jenny quite a bit)

http://www.urbanfonts.com/  (free)

http://www.scrapnfonts.com/   (you will have to pay for fonts on this site, but you can get some cool stuff from Ali Edwards and others)

Enjoy!  Thanks for Looking!

Happy Cards… November 1, 2008

Hello All!  Hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather today!!

Have some cards to share…

A thank you card using “Flour Tortillas” from the Black Bean collection.  The “Thank You” is stamped with this stamp set from Hero Arts.  The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the twine will be sold from JB Soup soon!

A “Happy Birthday” card using both “Bay Leaf” from the Split Pea Collection and “Fresh Raspberries” from the Cold Raspberry collection.  I used this stamp from Stampabilities and this embossing folder from Provo Craft.  I love my Cuttlebug!  They have some great new embossing folders here!  The “Happy Birthday” ribbon is from American Crafts.

“Hi” card using the “Cayenne Pepper”, “Brown Sugar” and “Paprika” from the Spicy Pumpkin collection.  The stamp set is from Chatterbox and can be found here.  I also used Marvy Uchida’s tree punch and mega square scallop.  The ribbon is from Michaels.

Sorry for the serious glare off that bright green bird paper. 😉  Here’s a “Happy Bird-day” card using paper from the white Cream of Mushroom line.  Again I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the brown cardstock using this embossing folder.  The bird stamp is from Imaginisce and can be found here.   The “Happy Bird-day” was printed using my computer.

Thanks for looking!

Some cards from the Columbus Scrappers October 27, 2008

I’m sure you heard me mention that the Columbus Scrappers were hosting a card swap featuring Jillibean Soup products.  Well, we had the swap yesterday and I would like to share the cards that were made.

“Enjoy the Day” by Kim.  I love how Kim pulled out the apple green color.  I’m a huge fan of apple green (yes, I like colors other than brown).  Love the “v” shaped ribbon on the side too.  Thanks Kim!

A notecard from Missey.  Love those birds in the middle!  Missey used both the Cream of Mush line (birds) and the Spicy Pumpkin line (vine).  I’m sure you’ve noticed that all of the browns used in the paper are all the same.  This makes it easy to use several different styles from several different collections.  Thanks Missey!

“Just Because” from Gina.  Love how Gina combined both the kraft and white Cream of Mush lines.  It’s hard to see but Gina added some bling (I think it’s Stickles) on the parenthesis around her message.  Cute, cute Gina!

A notecard from Robyn.  The peachy/orange flowers really pull out the colors in the paper.  Love it!  Thanks Robyn for the cute card!

A “thank you” card from Jana.  I love how Jana added the “thank you” to the flower petal.  So cute!  Love that Spicy Pumpkin line!

A notecard from Amy.  I love color blocking!  I do it all the time and I love how Amy did it with the Blackbean collection!  Amy lives in Illinois and still took the time to participate in the swap.  Thanks Amy!

“Hi” card from Daria.  Daria used several styles on this card and it’s oh, so cute!  She added a little bling and some flowers at the top.  Love those felt flowers too Daria 😉

Thank you ladies!  You guys are awesome!  I can’t say it enough…thank you for supporting Jillibean Soup!

How about a cute little Spicy Pumpkin gift bag?  It’s inexpensive, it’s cute and it’s easy to make.

Add dimension by popping it off the bag.

Add your favorite Jillibean Soup cards…everyone can use a couple extra handmade cards!

A great gift for teachers this Holiday season.
