McClimans Family Tree Farm December 6, 2009

Hmmm, this blog is still here.  It just doesn’t seem to go away.  Just kidding!  I hate that I can’t keep up with it but unfortunately, duty calls.

Some of you know that my brother and his wife own a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania.  It’s the McClimans Family Christmas Tree Farm and I would tell you to go get a tree but I’m guessing they’ve sold out again this weekend.  Anyhow, we’ve had the pleasure of helping them sell trees on Thanksgiving weekend for the past 2 years.  They have a hayride that will take you out to the trees, have equipment to cut down your own tree, sleds to pull the tree, hot chocolate, cookies and it’s just a fun time.  The girls LOVE the hayride!  Brooke wasn’t so sure at first but quickly became a fan after her first trip.  Last year we had lots of snow…this year not so much.  It was quite nice on Sat and Sun and the girls had a great time playing outside.  Here are some pics to prove it…

Trees, trees and more trees. 😉

The crew hanging out on the wagon.  See the tall one on the left…that’s the Daffin’s sales lady.  Thank you Alyssa for this extra 4 pounds I have now. 😉

One cute reindeer…

and another…

Here’s Brooke in search of the perfect Christmas tree.  We brought one home with us and it did fine on top of my car – rain and all!

Here’s Kams doing her best Vanna impression to showcase our tree.

Check out that face…oh that look…get it all the time.  The sleigh she’s sitting in has been passed down in my family.

These two are of hubby pulling Brooke in one of the sleds (used to tow trees).  She was lovin’ it.

Glad that we have started these traditions – great memories for the girls!

Have a great week!

Looks like alot of fun! Going to a Christmas tree farm and cutting down our own tree has been something I wanted to with the grandkids for a long time! Maybe next year.
