Need Your Help… March 12, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — jyeger @ 1:00 pm

Hey Ladies…need your help…

I was fortunate enough to scrap with some girlfriends last weekend at one of my favorite local stores…Scrapbook Art.   I don’t know about you, but some days (ok, most days) I have difficulty with titles.  So, I’m asking for your help.  I’m posting a layout below and would love it if you can help me with the title?   If you help me out…then I’ll help you out with, say, a $30 gift certificate to Two Peas in a Bucket!!!  Then you can buy some more JB Soup stuff. 😉    Just leave a comment and I’ll pick my favorite title on Sunday 3/15.

BTW…It’s a halloween layout and I love the pics.  I know the paper has nothing to do with halloween but it matched the pics perfectly (it’s Bo Bunny – Alissa).  Since I didn’t use JB Soup paper, I had to throw in a sprout. 🙂  Also, I seem to be addicted to those cute little paper clip thingies from Stampin Up (I think they’re called library clips)!

Thanks in advance!

Fun Bits for the week of March 2nd…

  • First of all…Thankyou to Grandma Karen and Pappy for watching the girls this weekend so we could have a little downtime (ha!).  Grandma also fixed both Leah and Kami’s blankies!  They look like new (they used to have rips and tears with the stuffing coming out).  Thanks Grandma!

  • Brooke is definitely feeling better…she’s up to her old tricks again.  She could care less that we tell her numerous times not to stand up in her high chair.  Nothing phases this child.   Yes, we do buckle her in on occasion. 😉

  • What’s this you’re asking?  This is what’s left of a jumbo blueberry muffin that some little stinker found in my car.  She ate it while I was in the store shopping.  Which little stinker?

  • This one…

  • Yeah, signs of spring have started popping up around here!   It won’t be long now…

Have a great week!

Some more cards… March 8, 2009

“Hoppy Birthday” card.  Papers from the Whitebean collection.  The rick rack is from our Pink/Green Bean Stalk.   “Hoppy Birthday” was printed using my computer.

“Thanks so Much” card.  Again, papers are from the Whitebean collection.  The ribbon is from the Red/Black Bean Stalk.  A Stampin’ Up punch was used for the scallop.  Fiskars scalloped edge scissors were used for the scalloped edge on the green.  The “Thanks So Much” stamp is from Hero Arts.

“Hi” card…this card was also in our booth at CHA.  I recently used it for a card class at Scrapbook Art.  It’s so simple but cute.  All papers are from the Minestrone collection.  The rick rack is from the Red/Black Bean Stalk.  “Hi” was printed using my computer.  All circles were cut using  Creative Memories tools.

“Hello” card.  Again, papers are from the Minestrone collection.  Twine is from the Green/Brown Bean Stalk.  “Hello” was printed using my computer and punched with a Stampin’ Up punch.  The square background is cut using Fiskars scalloped edge scissors.

Thanks for looking!

What’s the matter with Jason?  I think he’s got some issues…

I’m with Melissa – he took away that one special moment in her life and made it a crappy memory!

Run, Molly, Run!!!!

Wooden Blocks

These were displayed in the “green” case at the CHA show.  When hubby was building the booth, I had him cut some blocks for me to decorate.  I adhered the paper and then he sanded them down with the belt sander.  The paper just melted into the wood and looked great.

Sorry the pictures are too bright.  Too much sunlight coming in the window.  Anyhow,  this was my favorite block…a Valentine’s Day block for hubby.

“Home Tweet Home” blocks…love that “Half & Half” paper!

This was intended to be a “Happy Mother’s Day” block but it just turned out to be a “family” block.   The quote on the side says “God could not be everywhere, so he created Mothers”.

Thanks for looking!

Fun Bits for the week of February 23rd…

*First of all, I can’t believe it’s March already!  Where did January and February go?  18 days ’til spring!

*Leah was chasing Kami around the other day and said “I’m going to catch you, you little terd”.  Where in the world did she get that – hmm, hubby??

*Brooke said “I love you” for the first time.

*While driving past a river the other day, Kami said “I see some crocigators”.

*Brooke, who’s 19 months old…is quickly approaching the terrible 2’s.  She’s a big bully.  She’s not afraid to push her big sisters around.

*While eating a chicken McNugget, Leah asked if the nugget comes out of the chicken (like an egg).

*Imagine driving and looking in your rearview mirror to see your 5 yr old and 2 yr old doing the “raise the roof” move to Beyonce’s All the Single Ladies.

*I found this note sitting on the table the other day…made me chuckle.

*Here’s a pic of Kami talking to Eric on the phone this past weekend.  She’s so funny when she’s talking on the phone.  She acts like such a grown-up.

Have a great week everyone!  Hopefully my week will be better than the weekend!

Just another weekend… March 1, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — jyeger @ 9:47 pm

* 3 sick kids…one with RSV and 2 ear infections…one with one ear infection…one with a cough keeping her awake at night…

*Brooke (the one with RSV)  is up at 3:00am, then 4:00am…

*I forgot Leah’s shoes at dance class…she cried

*Brooke vomited in my bed…

*Medicine, medicine, medicine…

*It’s cold outside…light snow today…

*Hubby is traveling for work this weekend…

*Brooke won’t let me put her down…

*I have to unplug the toilet…even though Brooke’s not feeling well, she still wants to help…

*Lily (dog) has a seizure…

*Kami wakes up in the middle of the night crying because of her coughs…

*Brooke coughs so much she vomits on me…

*I have to run a few errands for work…we leave Staples without buying anything because Brooke won’t quit crying…

*We eat McDonald’s twice this weekend…uggh…

*Did I mention hubby is working out of town…

*Did I mention Brooke is miserable…

*We go back to Staples because I still need supplies…I forget the Avery label number to purchase labels…

*I eat an entire bag of Hershey’s chocolate eggs (these things only come out at Easter time and of course hubby had to bring a bag home from the store the other night)…

I know it could be so much worse…just struggling a bit this weekend…better days ahead…
