Hi Bean Stalkers!!!

I know many of you are waiting for these instructions!  I’ve researched and researched and started putting together a formal call announcement…that just wasn’t working for me.

Here’s what I think…

* Are you fun?  Are you innovative?

* Are you low-maintenance?  I’m not up for crazy people that cause a stir. 😉

* Do you have a passion for paper crafting?

* Are you a blog savvy?  If not, are you a quick learner?

* Do you like free product?

* Do you submit to publications?

* Do you like JB Soup products (this is a given)?

* Do you think you would be a good fit for our company?

* Are you a good photographer?

*If you said “yes” to all of these…then I invite you to apply for our design team!!!

The jist…

We are looking for 5-6 individuals to represent Jillibean Soup.  We are looking for people to support our new blog.  You will be expected to post 2 layouts, 2 cards and 1 project per month with instructions/descriptions for new ideas/tips.   You will be the bulk of the blog and represent Jillibean Soup.  You are also expected to say nice things about Jillibean Soup and it’s owner!

The details…

The term will be for 6 months starting on March 15th, 2009.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Applications are open to everyone.  International applicants are welcome!

Previous Design Team experience is not required.

Now…where do I apply?

Please send pics of 2 layouts, 2 cards and 1 project to  (Remember to keep them small).

Tell me about yourself.  When you started scrapbooking.  If you’re on another design team.  What’s your favorite paper crafting supply?  Just anything and everything about your paper crafting history.  I also want to know where you live and what makes you happy.  Not a book…just the basics.

Submissions are being accepted from now until Sat, Feb 28th, 2009!  Get on it girls!

Good Luck!

Fun Bits for the Week…

Fun Bits for the week of February 2nd…

* My oldest daughter Leah dissed me at kindergarten drop off the other morning.  I went in for the “goodbye kiss” and she turned her head away and said “bye”.  I guess I’m embarassing already!

* I called Kami a “nincompoop” the other day and she said “I not naked poop”.

* Remember how I told you last week that Brooke had begun throwing shoes from our 2nd floor…well yesterday she threw an alarm clock (not a new light-weight one, but an older heavy one).  It made a nice thud and thank goodness did not hit anyone on the head!

* Even though she’s only 2, Kami has figured out her “sarcastic, loud, snooty, teenage voice” already.   Too much talking back  going on in this house right now.

* Brooke has started playing with babies all the time.  It’s cute to see an 18 month old playing with babies.  She, of course, grabs them by the neck and drags them around…but it’s still cute.

* Leah enjoyed her first Girl Scout Father/Daughter dance.  She came home and showed me how to do the “chicken dance”.  She doesn’t know Mom’s already a pro!  Here’s a pic of the two of them…

Thanks for looking and have a great week!

Happy Birthday Jen!

It’s Jen’s birthday today!   Happy thirty-something chickie!  Jen is a very good friend of mine from college.  We met through ex-boyfriends and have had a great friendship even though we’re hundreds of miles apart.

Here’s Jen on our trip to California to see Ellen (in case you didn’t see it the first time I posted it).

It makes me chuckle everytime I see this pic.

Can you help me wish Jen a  Happy Birthday????

#96 Alison…congrats!!!

The year my husband made and decorated heart shaped cakes for me.

When you get a minute, can you e-mail me your address…I had to start deleting all the comments coming into my inbox.  Please send it to:

I love the kit and would like to keep it for myself!

I loved reading all your great stories and ideas for Valentine’s Day!  Wow, so many babies born on Feb 14th…so many people getting engaged or married!

I never knew my brother was a romantic either (this is from my SIL)…

My most memorable Valentine’s Day…. A barbershop quartet showed up at my door to sing for me. I was very surprised & a little embarrassed. It was something I never would have thought of. After all these years, he can still surprise me.

If you have some time, read some of the fun comments.  Thanks everyone for participating!  I’ll have another kit to giveaway next week!

Have a great weekend!
