Got some good stuff to share.  I apologize for the lighting in the photos.

Here’s a very cool “Fall” layout from Emily (Emily works at Scrapbook Groupies in Gahanna and is the sweetest!).  She used the Cream of Mush collection to create that very cool tree.  Love the 3-D leaves too!  Thanks Emily!

Here’s another cute fall page from Kathy.  Kathy used the Spicy Pumpkin collection as well as some JB Soup Bean Seeds (felt pieces).  The girls in the pic are my 2 sweet nieces.  Thanks Kathy!

Suzie created a cute baseball page using the Cold Raspberry line.  The circles work great with the baseball theme.  Thanks Suzie!

“Many Thanks” card from Tracy.  Love that Cream of Mush line!  Tracy used the Half & Half (birds) paper on the inside as well.  Great design!  Cute card Tracy!!

A “Pumpkin Patch” layout from Jamie.  She used the white Cream of Mush line.  Look at that adorable owl!  She cut him out by hand – cute, cute!!  Thanks Jamie!

More to share soon!

Thanks ladies!  It’s exciting for me to see my paper in action!

I’m excited to announce…

Kami, Brooke and I had a “normal” trip to Target today.  If you’ve never read about our Target trips, read this and this.   Today was a good day at Target – nothing crazy.  We were shopping and the cart was starting to get full so Kami had to get out of the cart and walk.  She was thrilled with this.  She did, however, want to help push Brooke in the cart.  This was not going so well and she kept stopping and giving me “the look”.  She was mad because her feet barely touch the ground while trying to push the top bar so she had to let go several times.  Anyhow, like I said, she kept giving me the pouty look.  I said you her “why are you being such a crab-ass today” (this just came out, I do not talk to my kids this way, I really don’t know where it came from).  Her response was…“I not crab-ass, I Kami”.   I just laughed out loud in the store.  Oh, what a horrible mother!

Fun Bits for the week of November 10th…

  • Can I just start by giving a shout out to Heather and Lyda Lou who celebrated their birthdays on November 10th!!!  Happy Birthday girls!

Here’s how the rest of the week went…

  • When Kami wants to apply chapstick, she says “put lips on”.
  • Brooke weighed in at a healthy 70th percentile at her well visit this past week.  Can you imagine that? 😉
  • Picture Kami, Leah, hubby and I playing KerPlunk.  Kami doesn’t really understand the game and loves to pull out several sticks at one time.  She thinks it’s fun to get lots of marbles and says “Whoa” when they all fall down.
  • Brooke helping me sort felt flowers by picking them up off my lap and throwing them across the room. :-{
  • Leah saying “Let’s go hit the road” before going to school the other morning.
  • Kami and Leah sitting in a plastic bin, watching a show before bedtime.

  • Leah had her Daisy investiture ceremony where she was officially inducted into the Girl Scouts.  Thanks Judy for the pic!

  • I enjoyed meeting lots of great ladies at the Scrapbook Groupies retreat as well as hanging out with old friends at the Zane Trace Inn.  Here’s our crew…

Have a great week everyone!

Quick Note… November 16, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — jyeger @ 9:25 pm

It’s good to be home.  I had a great time at our scrapbooking retreat this weekend.  Lots of laughter with the girls.  Yes, I scared Karen with my crazy driving.  Yes, I was a little “intense” when we were late and trying to find the Carlisle Inn (where we were supposed to be doing make n’ takes with the Scrapbook Groupies retreat group).  Yes, I am exhausted right now after staying up late scrappin’ 3 nights in a row.  Still, I LOVE this hobby and LOVE getting together with friends to do it!

I have LOTS of fun stuff to share this week!  I have several layouts and projects to share – all stuff made with JB Soup.  Leah will pick a winner for the turkey placecards tomorrow.  I will be doing another giveaway this week – with JB Soup journaling sprouts!  Yep, they’re finished and I love them!  I used numerous sprouts on pages this weekend.  I will be chatting with the Columbus Scrappers on Thursday evening at 10pm – looking forward to that!  Also, don’t forget JB Soup will be doing make n’ takes at B&B Scrapbooks in Powell this Saturday from 12-3.

Have a great week everyone!

Got Turkey??? November 13, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — jyeger @ 4:24 pm

With Thanksgiving two weeks away, I figured we should have some turkey fun.  I’ve got some turkey ideas and a small giveway.  Check this out…

How cute are these turkey place cards????  This is a kit by K&Company that I picked up at Target.  The kit makes 12 place cards.  It only takes about 5 minutes to make one turkey.  They make cute decorations too!  I have an extra kit if anyone wants it.  Just leave a comment and I will let Leah pick the winner on Monday.

P.S.  I think the turkey’s face looks a little like Beeker from the Muppets (I know I’m dating myself there).

Here’s a cute card made with Stampin’ Up goodies.  The ruffles are made with the Stampin Up scalloped circle punch – one of my favorite pieces.  I was going to attempt to make one with JB Soup products but I just didn’t have time…maybe before Thanksgiving.  If you look close at the gourd on the right you can see some teeth marks – guess who put them there?

Emily and the girls made some “hand” turkeys where you trace their hands for the feathers and attach them to a turkey body…cute!

Where’s my belly button?

Filed under: Uncategorized — jyeger @ 4:21 pm

Another layout I did earlier this year.  The majority of the paper and letters are from Basic Grey; the large graph letters are from Making Memories; the “picture perfect” 3-D button is from K&Company.

This was a time when Kami liked to lift up her shirt and show you her belly.  I love the colors in the layout.
