Wooden Blocks March 2, 2009

 

These were displayed in the “green” case at the CHA show.  When hubby was building the booth, I had him cut some blocks for me to decorate.  I adhered the paper and then he sanded them down with the belt sander.  The paper just melted into the wood and looked great.

 

 

Sorry the pictures are too bright.  Too much sunlight coming in the window.  Anyhow,  this was my favorite block…a Valentine’s Day block for hubby.

 

 

“Home Tweet Home” blocks…love that “Half & Half” paper!

 

 

This was intended to be a “Happy Mother’s Day” block but it just turned out to be a “family” block.   The quote on the side says “God could not be everywhere, so he created Mothers”.

This was a recipe calendar that my SIL Kathy put together.  She pulled several of my grandma’s recipes and scrapped them in the calendar.  She even used some JB Soup paper for a couple of the pages.  Love it, Kathy.  Thank You!

 

 

Here are a couple of cute gift certificates that my husband made up…he even printed them on kraft.    It’s hard to see them in the pic…one is a gift certificate for ”Date Nights Every Other Month”.  The cutest thing about it, is that in the fine print he wrote “non-transferable, not to be used by any other suitor”.  Love it!

Life’s Joy Mini-book December 2, 2008

Karen and I will be at B&B Scrapbooks in Powell again this Saturday from 3-5pm.  They’re celebrating their 2nd anniversary and we get to get in on the action!!!!  We will be making this “Life’s Joy” mini-book out of brown lunch bags.  Please stop by!  We will also have a card option for those not interested in the album.  We even get to use Stickles for you Stickles fans – you know who you are.

Everyone will get a package of the red sprouts with their mini-book.  Some will be used in the book and the rest are yours to keep.  Here are some great ideas for using the sprouts – other than scrapbooking.

If we have any kits left over, I will give one away next Monday.  Also, I will post instructions for the mini-album in case you can’t make it to Powell on Saturday.

Just got this in the mail yesterday.  My good friend Jen (from Iowa) made this for me!  I love it!  She used the Cream of Mush line (kraft and white) and some b/w photos of my girls.  She used decoupage to attach the paper to the metal star.  She also added a few embellishments.  Thanks Jen!
